Nameri National Park and Forest Reserve

Nameri National Park is situated in the foothills of the Ä“astern Himalayas in the Sonitpur district of Assam.It is the second Tiger reserve of Assam after Manas National Park and declared a reserve forest on 1978.It harvors over 600 floral species and is the home of rare beautiful Orchids. There is also Nameri Eco camp and lots of fun adventure river activities. Nameri is home to some of the endangered species like white winged duck,Sloth Bear,Tiger, Leopard,Clouded leopard,Sambar,Gaur,Indian Wild Dog, four varieties of Hornbill and many other winged species.Nameri is also famous for the herds of Elephants. Nameri National Park is an eye witnessing scenic beauty which one must keep in their checkbox.
